Bittersweet

Wow! It's been a few months since I have written a blog as my wonderful roommate pointed out. I guess I have been super busy keeping my grades up this semester and staying busy with the whole two days of classes I have. :P You would actually be surprised how busy life has been. I didn't start this post to rant and rave for an endless amount of time about how long it's been since I blogged but to update you on some feelings.

Let me first express some things I am thankful for:
1. I am thankful for the great roommates I have and those extended roommates. I love them all so much and I am truly emotional about not being with them in January.
2.I am so very thankful for the opportunity that I have to be here at BYU-Idaho.
3. I am thankful for the Healthcare Administration Major
4. I am thankful for the technology that I have to stay in touch with my family and friends. It is so nice to be able to skype and feel like I am right there.
5. I am thankful for Heavenly Fathers many tender mercies.
6. I am thankful for my best friends!! They all know who they are!!
7. I am thankful for the opportunity that I had to spend time with Sarah on her wedding day!!!
8. I am thankful for the bad days because it makes the good days all that much better.
9. I am thankful for the sweet baby boy (Gavin) my aunt will be having in March.
10. I am thankful that the Lord has blessed me with the gospel and the ability to understand that everything is part of His plan...even if we don't understand it at the time we need to have faith and rely on Him.

I am thankful for so many things I could go on for days but these are the things that really stood out at the moment.

I am at the end of another semester, this for a BYUI student means it is time to pack up the stuff you own in the apartment and the place you have called home for the last 3 months and once again become a Nomad. Never did I ever expect this to be my life but I am all the more thankful for it. I am surrounded by the Lord's tender mercies. Even with all the storm around me I am calm. There are so many things going on at home that it's hard to even imagine going there and dealing with it but the opportunity to go home and be with my family and the people who mean the most to me is a tender mercy in and of itself. I am ecstatic about being home while at the same time extremely sad to be leaving the cold city of Rexburg. I love the weather, I love my roommates, I love the school, and I love the activities. I am extremely excited about the opportunity to be home and once again help with YSA activities, spend time with my sister and my family, I am so excited to see Gage and meet Gavin, I am excited to be home and just get to see the people at church who mean so much to me. It is all so very bittersweet. I always wondered how people could be best friends with a roommate from 20 or so years ago but now that I have met these amazing girls and lived with them for the semester I truly see where these people were coming from. I am eternally grateful for the amazing roommates I have. I love Kelly, Katie, Lindsay, Erika, Stephanie, and I cannot leave out our 7th and 8th roommates Kayla and Brittany and of course Gabbi. This semester has been a major growing experience that I am grateful to have had. Although, I am extremely bittersweet about everything I truly know that I am following the wishes of Heavenly Father and that is such a great feeling!!

My roommates plus the amazing extended family at the ward Halloween Party!!
